MEGHNA BHARDWAJ (India) is a dance artist\scholar originally from New Delhi, India. In 2021, she began her ongoing research “Yarning”, in which she is focused on themes of motherhood and thresholds explored through knitting gestures and dance. Meghna has been a choreographer-in-residence at K3 Tanzplan, Kampnagel, and developed her practice across Delhi, Singapore, and Germany. DENIS BARWA (India) is a performing artist and dance educator, based out of New Delhi, India. He originally belongs to the Oraon tribal community from the state of Jharkhand. He has earned a BFA (Applied Arts) from College of Art, New Delhi. As a performer, he began his dance training at The Danceworx Performing Arts Academy in Delhi, and later joined Omaggio Performing Arts Company in Goa. With his extensive training in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and Contemporary techniques, Denis has performed at various venues in India and overseas, such as, Camping Asia performing arts festival in Taiwan, Project Inklusion at Goethe Institute in Delhi, Holding Space: Pickle Factory in Kolkata. He has also been deeply engaged in exploring various dimensions of dance education, especially for children of diverse age groups, and conducted Dance & Creative Movement workshops at Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh. Denis’ own practice can be defined as an ongoing process of inquiry based on exploring alternative spaces of learning and building an individualistic dance language.
