Manipulation and other Romantic Stories

We are looking for actors and theatre students for the new play “Manipulation and other Romantic Stories” by Artemis Chrysostomidou (Cyprus/Greece). The premiere will take place in September 2021 in the course of her residency at Frankfurt LAB.

In the performance “Manipulation and other Romantic Stories”, Artemis Chrysostomidou examines pressing topics like social norms and phallocracy, working with humour, accuracy and absurdity.
The fact that society covers manipulative actions – which arise from motivations with patriarchal origins – under the guise of “love” or “passion”, is illuminated by means of sardonic language and sarcasm, in order to reveal irony, contradictions and balance.
