In ISLANDS OF CONNECTING TISSUE we invite you to performative gatherings and to share artistic practices with each other: in open workhshop formats - sharing practices - we inspire each other and learn from each other under the instruction of various artists, who bring their current practices. From 5. - 7. April there will be two sharing practices per day, plus the premiere of the music theater SIRENS OF THE O by and with Jasmina Rezig and Marja Christians.

Revealing the Body: An Exploration of Sound, Language, and Gaze

Facilitated by Amelia Uzategui Bonilla and Lilian Korner, members of T.I.A. dance productions, the workshop explores self-description as a radical act of revealing oneself through sound, language and movement—think of it as a "noisy introduction." In this session, the significance of visual representation is questioned, challenging traditional notions of how the artist and dancing body are experienced through the senses. Through experimentation, the construction of the gaze is reconsidered, embracing sound as a means of expression, identity, and connection.
