Thinking in Clouds
ChrisTina Maria Ulrich

The far right wing is expanding their influence on social media following their radicalization strategies through tactical use of algorithms and sock puppet profiles. But how can we create a collective voice against this? What are the strategies against right wing hate online and how can we create a brave space in order to fight back?

With the multimedia installation "Thinking in Clouds" we want to experiment with ways of resistance and create a collective voice against the far right. In a performative workshop section, we explore strategies for empathy-based counterspeech. Afterwards, an interactive installation invites all visitors to get involved themselves – together, we create a sound cloud against the far right through counterspeech, music and other sounds.

The piece is aimed at anyone who is curious about how we can counter digital hate and online radicalisation, regardless of prior knowledge. If you are interested in digital civil courage or would like to try out a performative and sound-based form of togetherness, feel free to join us!
